This story has a farmer, his wise, their son Jack, a dog, a cat, a bird and an enormous turnip. One morning, the farmer went to his field. He wanted a turnip. He saw one turnip with very big green leaves. The farmer tugged and tugged at the turnip. But, the turnip didn't move. The farmer's wife saw the farmer puffing and panting. She helped him. They both tugged and tugged. But, the turnip didn't move. Jack saw his parents puffing and panting. He helped there. But the turnip didn't move. The farmer's dog helped there. But, the turnip didn't move. The cat helped there. But, the turnip didn't move. Just then, a bird flew past. The bird helped there. They tugged and tugged and tugged some more. The turnip began to move. At last, the turnip popped out of the ground. The farmer was very happy. In the morning, they ate turnip soup for lunch, for supper, for breakfast, every day for a month. The farmer decided to grow carrots next year.
This story is very interesting. I have knew this story because I played the part of the farmer' wise when I was kindergartner. This is work of my memory. I like this story. I can read again and again. I am not tired of this book.
